This year’s Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas (DSCNWA) Inclusion Walk is Saturday, October 14 at 10am. The Inclusion Walk features live music, vendor booths, arts & crafts, games and more while we raise awareness of Down syndrome and those impacted in our community! The participants will gather for a fun, 1-mile walk around Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, AR.
Each year the families of the DSCNWA gather their family and friends, to come take part in this wonderful awareness walk. It is the main awareness program and fundraiser DSCNWA has each year, and it helps us to continue to grow the programs and services that we provide to our families.
Additionally, the days festivities also include the Respect Run 5K at 8am which also benefits the DSCNWA. The 5K will be chip timed by Race Wizard and we are sponsored by Rush Running with awards and/or medals for the top three in each age group.
The 5K shirts are a very nice, super-soft material featuring our race logo and each runner will receive a complimentary goody bag. Don’t miss out!
Finally, we are also featuring a Respect Run Jr. (1 mile fun run) which will begin at 9am. Runners & walkers are welcome in both events!
Be sure to invite your family and friends and we’ll see you there!
All event proceeds stay local and help the DSCNWA to facilitate inclusion and respect for all individuals with Down syndrome within the Northwest Arkansas Community, ensuring that they have access to the support and the resources necessary to reach their full potential at all stages of life.
